We currently have several Bowls Development Alliance qualified coaches:
There are also many others in the Club who are very willing to offer help and advice to new bowlers.
Initially, the Club offers four completely free sessions to introduce you to bowls, so that you can decide whether it is something you enjoy and would like to continue and develop, this can be extended to six sessions if it is felt further coaching is required.
Contact the club for details of organised coaching sessions or for arranging individual coaching.
DIBC offers a beginners coaching programme which covers everything you need to know (and practice) so that you can join in with our card roll-up sessions and open drawn leagues, which are designed with beginners in mind.
There is then a further six-session coaching programme to extend your range of shots. This is something that can be undertaken once you have grasped the basics and have been bowling for six months to a year and feel ready to develop your skills.
Our coaches do not charge for their time, and your rink time is free whilst you are undertaking any of our coaching programmes.
